As you will read, I am a supporter of breastfeeding, baby wearing, co-sleeping, cloth diapering, and so much more, but mostly learning about babies! January was a big month!
Well, January is over now, and as I look back so much has happened.
Alan is back to work after his 2 full weeks off, which was wonderful. I booked my trip to Houston, and we leave in just over a week, I cannot wait to see Zoe and Zane and of course meet little Penny.
Sutton smiled for the first time in December...on Alan's birthday, but he smiles regularly now when I sing him the song I wrote for him, when we change his diaper (which he loves), and of course when we play and when Alan comes home.
He also rolled over one day. (Jan 26) It has happened twice, but both times he was a little angry so he had enough fight in him to do it. It was so neat, AND I caught it on video as well.
The first time, was on tummy time, he rolled from his tummy to his back, and was so shocked, it was hilarious. The second time, was when he was lying on his side in bed, he rolled from his side to his tummy, and even got his arm out from under him.
We have continued the co-sleeping...kinda. He has slept in his bassinett 4 times in the last week, Alan has moved to the spare room because our bed is too small, but really because his snoring is driving me nuts. I never noticed it before because I slept so deeply, but also because I slept all night!
His sleep schedule has been a little off this week. I have no idea what I changed, but he is getting really fussy again in the evenings, maybe another growing spurt. He will be 11 weeks old this Friday! Wow!!!
We started using cloth diapers during the day, and I love them! We finally found some that fit him well, and that do not leak. That seemed to be the hardest part.
Nothing really new with me, just being a mom, and trying my hardest to enjoy the days at home, it can be hard, the adjustment of being a working girl to a mom, but it's great, and we just need to keep busy, thats all. Houston will be a good break for me. I will miss Alan so much though.
Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks!
